Drinking Water: The water is purified and is safe to drink.
Transportation: Mini buses run between George Town and West Bay Road; taxis are available (fares are set); motor scooters and cars are available to rent. Must be 25 to rent motorized vehicles and be in possession of valid U.S. driver’s license and major credit card.
Local Customs: Seatbelt and helmet laws are strictly enforced. Restaurant tipping is 15-20% for good service. Porters should get approximately US$1 per bag; hotel maids should get US$.50 to US$1 per day. Taxi drivers expect 10-15% of the fare.
