This luxury hotel’s higher altitude relative to other hotels in the area allows for not only incomparable views of the Arenal volcano, the lush valley, and the surrounding towns that sparkle at night, but also access to the area’s famous prevailing breezes. In fact, the name Arenal volcano is an indigenous word meaning “Window of the Wind”. With an average daytime high temperature of 80°F in the shade and nighttime lows averaging 70°F you are sure to enjoy countless comfortable hours in your balcony hammock, al fresco dining, or sipping a frothy tropical cocktail in one of our spring pools or our private Arenal hot springs. The construction and design of the Springs Hotel is quite impressive with the entire main building set aside for guest services including a spectacular open-air multi-level lobby, 4 restaurants, a stunning full service spa and fitness center, inviting sitting areas and hot and cold springs. All of the wood used in the construction of the hotel and rooms is from local Costa Rica tree farms and was dried and hand crafted on site at the hotel. Whether you are interested in basking in the sun or relaxing in a hammock in the shade The Springs offers an extensive area of sun and shade terraces surrounding the pool areas with comfortable lounges, rocking chairs and hammocks, all with a perfect view of the volcano. With 18 hot springs pools spanning over 4 acres of landscaped recreational area there is plenty of room to spread out and relax. The Springs is located 3.5 hours from the Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO) in San Jose and 3.5 hrs. from the Daniel Oduber International Airport (LIR) in Liberia, Guanacaste. A Room With a View The rooms and villas are located below the main building and every room has a volcano view. Each of the rooms includes a private balcony, hammocks, rocking chairs, central cooling, Jacuzzi and marbled bathroom, mini-bar, wireless internet, refrigerator and coffee maker and an optional rollaway bed for child for an extra fee. Free room upgrades are offered on arrival based on availability at time of check-in.
