New Finca Rosa Activities
New Experiences for guests at Finca Rosa Blanca include:
* Cultural Highlands Tour: Created due to guests' requests to learn more about the local communities, history and cultures that make up the Central Valley, Finca Rosa Blanca's own local guides will take guests on a magical journey through the colonial towns of Barva and Heredia. Guests will also visit the famous mask makers of Barva. Costa Rica's spiritual side will also be explored, as guests visit the Iglesia San Bartolome, and continue on to Heredia. Guests will also visit the bustling Central Market, filled with exotic fruit, vegetables, spices and herbs, and the Museo de Cultura Popular which recreates Spanish colonial Costa Rica in a century-old farmhouse, restored with period pieces and ingenious tools. Returning back to the Inn, guests will gather at El Tigre Vestido to enjoy a traditional Costa Rican meal.
* Horseback Ride into the Clouds: A two hour trip on horseback into the coffee farms and up on to the slopes of the Barva Volcano for amazing bird watching with Finca Rosa Blanca's resident naturalist and to learn about the history and culture of Costa Rican coffee, grown only at high altitudes. Guests may encounter the Resplendent Quetzal, the Bonking Bellbird and even a sloth or two while winding through verdant coffee plantations and farms. Riders can stop for lunch or refreshment in a rustic restaurant before returning to spectacular views of the Central Valley.
