| Exploring the Beaches of Los Cabos |
| Many of the resort beaches in the Los Cabos area tend to feature rough water conditions, but the views are spectacular!
There are more than 20 gorgeous beaches stretching between San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, along the area now known as "The Corridor." Some are wide open, quiet and peaceful, and some are dotted with elegant resorts.
In the heart of Cabo San Lucas you will find the most popular beach, El Medano, where people go to swim as well as socialize. It offers all types of water sport activities such as snorkeling, parasailing, kayaking and jet skiing.
If you are looking for a romantic beach, you might want to taxi or kayak out to Playa del Amor ("Lover's Beach") at the very tip of the Baja Peninsula. This is where you will see the famous "El Arco". You'll find a beautiful beach and the snorkeling is great.
Closer to San Jose del Cabo, on the Corridor, are Playa Costa Azul and Playa Acapulquito, famous for their unique and beautiful rock formations. The main beach in San Jose is Playa Hotelera. This is a lovely wide beach, perfect for walking or horseback riding (but not for swimming).
If you are looking for a gorgeous, quiet cove to enjoy both swimming and water sports without the crowds, visit Playa Palmilla. Another even more private beach is Playa Las Viudas, better known as Twin Dolphin Beach. You'll find safe swimming at both.
For some of the best snorkeling in the area, visit Playa Chileno and Playa Santa Maria on the Corridor. |

| Important Beach Information |
| Swimming off the beach at the Sheraton Hacienda is not allowed due to extremely swift sea currents and powerful waves. This is strictly enforced for the safety of guests. The beach does offer, however, a spectacular opportunity for beach-walking, sunset strolls and breathtaking scenic vistas. Water sports of all kinds are available at nearby safe-swimming beaches, and the resort's spectacular pools provide an ideal spot for swimming and water fun for all ages.
