| Awards & Accolades |
| 2008: Travel + Leisure named Ladera one of the 500 Worlds Best Hotels for 2008 and ranked it #2 in the Caribbean, Bermuda, and the Bahamas.
2007: Ladera has once again been included in Conde Nast Traveler's prestigious Gold List for the 4th consecutive year.
Readers of Conde Nast Traveler have voted Ladera not only the "Best Hotel in the Caribbean," but they also gave it the highest score of any hotel in the world, ranking it the "Best of the Best" in the overall hotel category for 2006. The honor marked the first time in the 18 year history of the awards that a Caribbean hotel appeared on the "Best of the Best" list!

| Children |
| Ladera was designed primarily as a retreat for adults. Because of its unique mountainside location overlooking the Caribbean and the Pitons, there are steep drop-offs at the edge of every suite. Furthermore, many guests come to Ladera to get away from home responsibilities and for the romantic setting and peaceful solitude Ladera offers. If you do bring your children, please keep a constant eye on them, especially around the cliff areas and on the stairways, and be sure they understand that peace and quiet are important to many of the guests at the resort.
During the Christmas to the New Year Holiday period from the 21st of December through the 2nd of January, families with children ages 4 and up are welcome for the holidays.
During the rest of the year, Ladera accepts guests 15 years and older. |

| Unbelievable Accommodations |
| Ladera takes full advantage of its natural surroundings, offering a unique design in guest accommodations. Each of the 9 villas and 16 suites has an "open wall" — the west side of each unit has been left open, inviting one of the world’s most breathtaking views into your suite. Nonetheless, each suite at Ladera offers complete privacy. Every accommodation features its own plunge pool or villa swimming pool, for a private, refreshing dip just outside your room. Ladera is certainly the place to come and "unplug" from the modern world. No televisions - no phones - no clocks! Special amenities include "Jeeves" - a two-way radio to connect you w/Reception and room service and the "natural" air-conditioning!
While the unique architecture of Ladera allows unimpeded views out to the west, the constant trade winds blowing gently and steadily from the east keep the resort virtually mosquito-free and pleasantly cool. Ladera is always several degrees cooler than most beachfront resorts in St. Lucia because of its elevation, and there is constant "natural air-conditioning" in all the rooms, suites and villas. You can adjust how much of a breeze you get simply by opening or closing a window or shutter.
