Services and Facilities at Hacienda Guachipelin Hotel, Rincon de la vieja, Guanacaste

Hacienda Guachipelin Hotel is truly an ecotourism lodge for adventure travel and nature lovers. Near the reception area, you will find corrals, where real cowboys and ranch hands begin work early in the morning. The Hacienda offers many adventure activities for the adventure-seeker who comes to Costa Rica for a different kind of holiday including horseback riding, canyon canopy tours, tubing on the Río Negro and trekking - just to mention a few!

The Reception Area
The reception area and the bar by the swimming pool are housed in a building more than a century old, part of the original Hacienda. Here guests receive a welcome drink, while relaxing on the chaise lounges and rocking chairs. A refreshing swimming pool is filled with natural spring waters, coming directly from the volcano. Guests can order snacks and a favorite drink at the bar, and dance with live marimba music at night.

Accommodations
Hacienda Guachipelin is a down-to-earth, yet comfortable, hotel catering to nature lovers and adventure travelers. There are Standard and Superior Rooms. From your room, you can enjoy, during the day, views of the volcano and the hacienda grounds, and relax at night with the real sounds of nature. Outside, wide and inviting verandahs await for sharing afternoon chats with fellow travelers.

The Standard Rooms are located near the reception area, the swimming pool and bar, and the cattle corrals, and have a ceiling fan.
The Superior Rooms are more spacious, and are located in the newer buildings of the hotel with better views of the area, with air-conditioning and a T.V.
All the rooms have two beds, either two doubles or one double and one single. It is possible to include an extra single bed upon request. Each room has a safe deposit box and a private bathroom with hot water heated by the sun on solar panels. Hacienda Guachipelin offers free wireless internet.

Simbiosis Spa Nearby
This spa is located only a couple of minutes up the road from the hotel. After a day full of activity it feels really nice to end it in this quiet and relaxing place. Start with a couple of minutes in the sauna to relax the body. This is done to open up the pores of the skin. The next thing to enjoy is the volcanic mud, which you paint all over your body. When the mud is completely dried, wash it off in the outdoor shower. Lastly, enjoy the soothing thermal pool. A perfect ending to your active day! Massages are also available.
