Important Information
Document Requirements:
a) Original Birth certificate plus two photocopies.
b) Valid Passports. Bring or send two photocopies of the main page.
c) Statutory declaration of simple status legalized by the Consulate of the Dominican Republic. Bring or send one original and two photocopies.
d) Divorce Certificate or death certificate (if applicable); bring original or notarized photocopy and two simple photocopies. In both cases, a minimum waiting period of ten months applies before you can re-marry.
e) The Bride and Groom must translate and legalize the (a)(c) and (d) documents by the Consul of the Dominican Republic in their country before their arrival.

About the Ceremony
The ceremony will take place within the grounds of the hotel. All weddings are performed by a Registrar and usually last approximately 15 minutes. The time of the wedding ceremony will be confirmed upon arrival in the Dominican Republic, as this is dependent on the commitments of the Registrar. Please note it is a legal requirement in the Dominican Republic that all weddings must be performed in Spanish. There will be an interpreter present during the ceremony.

The Marriage Certificate can take approximately 6-8 weeks after the couple returns home. Please leave address and telephone number with wedding coordinator.
