Bars and Restaurants at Riu Playacar, Playa del Carmen

The Riu Playacar Resort offers casual buffet-style dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner with a wide choice of indoor, air-conditioned or outdoor terrace dining. Elaborate buffets with show cooking stations offer a wide variety of choices suitable for the whole family. International à la carte dining venues are available for dinner. RESTAURANTS
The Palms
This is the hotels main restaurant, offering elaborate buffets with show cooking stations for breakfast, lunch and dinner. El Porche is air-conditioned, and offers both smoking and non-smoking sections with gorgeous views of the lush grounds. Different theme nights are offered three times a week.

Jade Restaurant
Open nightly for buffet dinner, enjoy a variety of popular Asian specialties. Resort casual dress required.

Traviata
Riu Playacars brand new Italian restaurant.

Restaurant Turquesa
During the day, this is the large pool bar/snack bar. At lunch, a great buffet is served with spot cooking stations. For dinner, Turquesa is transformed into an à la carte specialty restaurant. Enjoy dinner poolside, under the stars. Resort casual dress required for dinner.

Beach Club at Riu Yucatan
A short stroll along the shore at the next door Riu Yucatan beachfront, refuel and refresh all day with your favorite drinks, snacks, sandwiches and salads.

There are four great bars and two Discos to choose from:
- La Plaza is Riu Playacar's new addition to its incredible bar collection
- Ananá is the lobby bar and is a great gathering hub
- La Cumbia lounge bar is adjacent to the lobby in a beautiful setting, surrounded by large terraces
- Las Olas is the swim-up & pool bar


In-Room Liquor Dispensers
A trademark of Riu Resorts is the ingenious in-room liquor dispenser! Offering a variety of four different liquors, the dispenser is restocked daily. If you would like to replace a certain type of liquor with one more to your liking, just advise the front desk! In Mexico, the dispensers typically offer two types of tequila, vodka & rum. If you would prefer gin, bourbon, etc. - just ask!
