Services and Facilities at Hotel Costa Verde, Manuel Antonio

Three hundred yards from the beach and Manuel Antonio National Park, the Hotel Costa Verde features two cliffside pools with sundecks and spacious rooms and balconies, all offering a bird's-eye view of the Park's coastline plus rainforest canopy vistas dotted with native birds and monkeys. Rooms are between 250 and 400 yards from the beach ("as the crow flies"), and over 300 feet above the ocean. Hotel rooms are between a 5 - 10 minute walk to the beach. The backside of Manuel Antonio National Park is adjacent to Costa Verde. The park entrance, however, is located ½ mile from the hotel. Public taxis and buses are readily available at the hotel reception. The town of Quepos is just a 10-minute taxi ride (3 miles) from the hotel. The public bus stops in front of the hotel about every 30 minutes.

Shopping Nearby
The Buena Nota tourist shop is about 300 yards downhill from the hotel. Most shops are located in Quepos, where you can find arts and crafts, clothing, pharmacies and a supermarket. Several local-type mini-markets are located about 1 mile from the hotel.


Hotel Costa Verde offers a variety of accommodations. These include air-conditioned studio and efficiency apartments with cable TV. For guests traveling with children, or who prefer air-conditioned rooms, the hotel offers 520 sq. ft. Studio apartments with two beds. Two pools are available for guests staying in the Costa Verde I area of the hotel. There are a total of 24 air-conditioned studios of this size, either with jungle and/or partial ocean views; eight are Studio-Plus units with the best panoramic views. These studio units are equipped with ceiling fans, a powerful air-conditioner, cable TV, a kitchenette and a large balcony. The Efficiency apartment rooms are smaller than the Studios, have 2 beds and feature air-conditioning and a jungle/garden view from the balcony.

The newest area, Costa Verde II, is designed exclusively for couples 18 years and older seeking a more romantic getaway with a balmy, tropical ambiance. Each apartment features 750 sq. ft. of space with expansive screened windows and doors that draw in ocean breezes and commanding rainforest or ocean views. Couples will enjoy a spacious balcony, two queen-size beds, kitchenette, and ceiling fans. No TV and no air-conditioning.

The unique jumbo hotel suite, the 727 Avion Suite, is a fully outfitted, meticulously detailed, two bedroom, two bathroom, refurbished vintage 1965 Boeing 727 fuselage perched on a platform 50 ft. above the ground with spectacular views.

Hotel Costa Verde emphasizes individual attention in their wedding planning and will work with you every step of the way...from flower arrangements to your wedding reception. They offer a selection of three restaurants and the event center (the Private Group Area on the second floor of La Cantina BBQ or the Private Wedding Party Area on the top floor of El Avion Restaurant) to choose from for your reception. Flower displays can be arranged by a local florist.
