Activities and Recreations at Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica at Peninsula Papagayo, Guanacaste

Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica's two expansive beaches set the scene for an enticing array of water sports offered by the Resort daily from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Complimentary water sports include snorkeling, windsurfing, boogie boarding and sea kayaking. Sporting equipment is provided, along with instruction for beginners. In addition, the Resort offers a full schedule of classes and activities sure to please all ages and interests including cooking, dancing, meditation classes and golf and tennis clinics.

Hiking is, of course, a popular option...join the staff for an invigorating, high-impact nature or sunset hike through the trails around the Resort. The Resort also offers Walk Fit, a vigorous walk along the roads of the Papagayo Peninsula. Or take a guided tour, certified by the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, through the tropical dry forest surrounding the golf course. The forest is home to endangered birds, monkeys, iguanas, butterflies and over 25 species of giant trees. Birders of any level will be able to spot parrots, manakins, antbirds and trogons, located all around the Resort. And the ever-popular, must-do canopy tours are conveniently located just 10 mins. from the Resort.

Ideal Scuba Conditions
Dives include all equipment and light refreshments, while the PADI Gold Palm dive service offers PADI certifications and specialty courses with professional instructors. Featured courses include: Discover Scuba Diving, Scuba Tune-Up, PADI Open Water, Open Water Referral, Adventure Diver, Advanced Adventure Diver, Emergency First Responder, Rescue Diver and Nitrox Diver.

Tennis Center
For tennis enthusiasts, the Resort offers four courts with the Har-Tru clay-like surface. The tennis complex is located at the Bella Vista Clubhouse, a seven-minute ride from the Resort lobby and is open daily from 7am-6pm. The tennis program is managed by world-renowned Peter Burwash International. Professional instruction, equipment and tennis accessories are available.

Coco Water Shuttle
Cross the beautiful Culebra Bay to Coco Beach, a local village with casual dining and souvenir shopping. You'll see interesting rock formations on the ride, and enjoy spending time shopping when you get there.

Spectacular on-site Golf Course
Set on the Papagayo Peninsula with cool, prevailing breezes, Four Seasons Golf Club Costa Rica boasts sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean on 14 of its 18 holes. This Arnold Palmer signature golf course has wide, undulating fairways with large and contoured greens, providing a fair and challenging test of your golf skills. The Resort offers a tour of the course, a twilight golf session and several golf clinics.

The Pro Shop is open from 6:00am to 8:00pm and tee times are offered from 7:00am to 4:00pm. Clubs and shoes are available for rent. Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
