El Yunque Off the Beaten Path Tour

Get adventurous. Get off the paved trail! See something new and interesting! During this tour, we will seek out one of El Yunque‘s cool spots. Your initial hike is an approximate 25–30-minute journey up a muddy and rocky path with a river wading. The trail is surrounded by bamboo trees, rain-forest flowers, and many other beautiful plants. We will make a stop to visit a collecting pool that forms at the base of a small waterfall by the river. Here you will have the opportunity to swim on its crystalclear waters and enjoy the different tones of its deep pools. A glimpse at the first waterfall, great for pictures opportunities! The adventure finishes in a pool area, that will be the highlight of your trip. After a few more minutes of hiking, arrive at a natural river where you can swim, swing from a rope to the river, and enjoy the natural water slides. Last stop before returning to the hotel is at a local restaurant (food cost not included). This tour includes: Entrance fees and USCG approved lifejackets, and helmets. Bottles of water. What is not included: Lunch after the tour. Gratuity for your tour guide is not included, but greatly appreciated.

You'll see tree orchids, giant ferns, bamboo trees, wild flowers, tropical hardwoods and spectacular waterfalls.
