Optional extras are provided by third-party independent contractors, and the resort is not responsible for quality. Please travel with valid passports, immigration cards (stamped locally at airport). If divorced, original proof of Decree Absolute; if widowed, original death certificate; original proof of name change by Deed Poll; if under 18 years of age, evidence of consent of parents is required in the form of an original Affidavit by a Notary Public. N.B. Documents such as birth certificates and Decree Absolutes must be officially translated into English. One (1) business day is required before legal proceedings can begin. Couples must attend to the Ministry of Legal Affairs in St. John’s (30 minutes’ drive from the hotel) and complete and sign a declaration stating that the information they are giving is correct. Please note the Ministry is not open on weekends or public holidays. If there is any doubt as to either person’s single status, it may be necessary to swear an affidavit before a solicitor. While specific requests can be made through our sales offices, Galley Bay Resort & Spa, Antigua cannot guarantee a specific time for the Wedding ceremony prior to your arrival. Ceremonies are generally performed between 11 am and 4 pm, but not on weekends or public holidays. All weddings, including the free wedding, require a local licensing fee. This fee is payable to the local authorities and includes all licenses/services of registrar/copy of marriage certification. Cost of transportation to Legal Affairs and the High Court is NOT included. Transfers must be paid directly to the driver. Government offices are not open on public holidays.


Complimentary Wedding Package
Free wedding package is available to couples who book a minimum 7-night, all-inclusive stay in a Deluxe Beachfront room category of higher.
Some restrictions apply. Free wedding may not be combinable with some offers and/or packages. All weddings including the free wedding require a local licensing fee. A taxi to town for legal paperwork is not included.

Prices are per couple, not per person, payable at the resort. These packages are sold as a whole; therefore, individual inclusions have no cash value, cannot be exchanged or transferred, and are non-refundable if unused.


Complimentary Renewal of Vows
A free complimentary renewal of vows package is available to the couples who book a minimum 7-night, all-inclusive stay in a Deluxe Beachfront room category of higher. Ceremony is created for up to six people including the couple.

All renewal of vows packages, free or paid, require a supplement fee to include the marriage officer paid to the ministry at the resort.
