MEDITERRANEAN VILLAGE This village has boutiques, shopping, restaurants and a Grecian 16th century replica amphitheater that features live entertainment yearly with notable performers like Sting, Elton John, Andre Bocelli and so many more. It also has a charming stone Catholic church perfect for a destination wedding and weekly masses. GOLF ($) Teeth of the Dog – With seven (7) holes bordering the Caribbean Sea, this world-renowned course designed by Pete Dye combines beauty and challenge, earning the title of #1 ranked course in the Caribbean by Golf Magazine. The Links – It’s an inland field gem designed by Pete Dye that evokes the Scottish golf courses with water as the beat in element in 5 of its holes. Renovated and reopened by Pete Dye on April, 2012. Dye Fore - Pete Dye has taken his genius to a higher-level, literally, 500-feet above the Chavon River where this course resides. Dye Fore opened April 20, 2003 with nine cliff side holes and sweeping views of the Chavon River and the Caribbean Sea beyond. The artists´ village of Altos de Chavon and the eastern mountain range are also part of the panoramic vistas enjoyed by golfers while playing this course. Additional 9 holes have been added in 2011. Golf Terms and Conditions: Rates are per person / per round. Daily rate includes Green Fee, shared cart, range balls and Club Storage on selected golf course. Subject to availability and must be requested in advance. HORSEBACK RIDING The Casa de Campo Resort and Villas extensive equestrian center is among the best in the Caribbean. And if you’ve never saddled-up before, their expert staff is on hand for lessons in English- or Western-style riding and jumping and even grooming techniques and rodeo stunts. Private guides are available for individual or group trail rides on two of the cattle ranches. POLO Their polo facilities—which include three playing fields and one practice field— are the best in the Caribbean and we’re proud to have the largest string of polo ponies in the world under a single brand. SHOOTING Casa de Campo offers the best year-round shooting facility in the Caribbean, including an on-site 245-acre Shooting Center, with over 200 stations for trap, skeet, sporting clays and pigeon rings. Purdey Five Stand Shooting Facility is a relatively new game to the sport and offers a fun and challenging shooting experience. Featuring a line of 5 ‘stands’ guests have the ability to shoot targets that simulate rabbit, duck and quail hunting. World-renowned Purdey is the highest standard in gun manufacturing and we are proud and excited to have this facility available to guests. Casa de Campo’s Shooting Center also includes a 110 ft. tower that projects sporting clays—one of the largest in the world, as well as “Rancho Peligro,” a wild bird reserve outside of Casa de Campo where “Driven Shoots” take place. Shooters of all ages and skill levels will be delighted by the flexibility of the layout and the realistic conditions that replicate shooting wild game in their natural habitat. TENNIS Their spectacular Tennis Center is the best and largest in the Caribbean. With over 12 pros and junior professionals on staff, beginners can learn from the best while more advanced players can brush up on their skills through private and group lessons. And with an abundance of local talent, there’s always someone available to serve up a challenging game, set and match. We even provide ball boys for your game, so you feel like a professional player! MARINA Inspired by the quaint seaside villages that dot the Mediterranean coastline, the Casa de Campo Marina is more than just a place to moor, it’s an entire community for sport fishermen, boating enthusiasts and landlubbers alike. From repairs to dry dock facilities and everything in between, the 90,000 square meter facility is a hub for sailors and yachtsman throughout the Caribbean and beyond. Around the Marina you’ll find some of the best shopping, restaurants and nightlife to make a full day of it. DEEP SEA FISHING As the Caribbean is much more “fertile” than it’s very close Atlantic neighbor, the Casa de Campo Marina and its surrounding waters make an ideal location for deep sea fishing expeditions. The fish most commonly caught are the coveted Blue Marlin, Mahi-Mahi, Guatapana (Wahoo), Yellowfin Tuna and Sailfish. ALTOS DE CHAVON This breathtaking replica of a 16th century Mediterranean village, poised dramatically above the Chavon River gorge, was handcrafted by local artisans and is a cultural center for residents, tourists and working artists from all over the world. Active studios for artists of every medium from pottery to weaving, silk screening and everything in between line the cobblestone streets alongside shops and boutiques showcasing their unique creations.
