Mandatory COVID-19 Testing Before Returning to the U.S.: In response to COVID-19, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that the requirement of a negative COVID-19 viral test (NAAT or antigen) will be expanded to all air travelers entering the U.S. starting January 26, 2021. Travelers are required to provide a negative test result (paper or electronic copy), taken within 3 days of departure, to the airline or they will be denied boarding for their return flight. We highly recommend taking a printed copy of the test result with you to the airport. SKJ TRAVEL currently has a list of In-Destination Testing locations, as well as hotels offering on-site testing for free or at a cost. Please continue to visit our Travel Updates page as more information is provided. According to the CDC guidelines, if you have recently recovered from COVID-19 and are not experiencing any symptoms, it is not recommended that you get tested again in the 3 months after a positive test. If you have met the criteria to end isolation you should travel with a copy of your positive test result and a letter from your doctor or health department that states you have been cleared for travel. Visit the CDC’s FAQs for more information.
