TORTUGA BAY guests have access to a world of resort activities. Sailing, windsurfing, water skiing and snorkeling classes are available to resort guests free of charge from 9:00am to 5:00pm daily. Canoeing, windsurfing and sailing are also available at no cost. Boating, deep-sea/shallow-water fishing and scuba diving excursions can be arranged for a nominal charge at the marina located at the southern end of the resort. Located next door to the resort, The Ranch (El Rancho) offers horseback riding excursions for the whole family, as well as riding classes for children and adults.
Guests are welcome to participate in organized tennis tournaments, beach volleyball matches, beach aerobics classes, and the popular Merengue and Salsa classes. For the tennis lovers, there are six clay tennis courts, available during daylight hours at no additional cost. For night play, there is a US$10 fee per hour. Tennis lessons are availabale and a pro shop offers all kinds of tennis attire and equipment.

Ojos Indigenas Ecological Park
Experience the beauty of nature at the resort's 600-acre private reserve and ecological park, a treasure of tropical flora and fauna. Enjoy pathways that run through a tropical forest, fresh water springs and beautifully kept gardens, startling bird life, insects, domestic iguanas and other animals native to the Dominican countryside. Professional naturalists offer guided tours, bird watching tours and educational workshops weekly.

PuntaCana Marina
A full-service marina is located on the southern end of the Resort and features two docks with mooring for 43 vessels up to 70 feet in length. An eight-foot deep access channel is protected by a water break.

Dive Center
The on-site Diving Center, recognized by PADI as a Gold Palm Resort, offers two daily tours for certified divers, one of them to a sunken ship. For those interested in learning to dive, certified courses are offered.

Horseback Riding
Enjoy a horseback ride at the resort where you will visit the Ecological Park and 'El Manantial' besides traveling through a large part of the beautiful golf course and beaches. US$25 for an hour and US$40 for two hours (taxes included).

Helitours
Enjoy a birds eye view of the PUNTACANA RESORT and CLUB and the coastline and beautiful beaches of Bavaro in the comfort of a private helicopter. US$199 per person for 30 minutes.

Fishing
Big game fishing out of Punta Cana can be a real adventure. It's no wonder so many tournaments are held here in the summer. For the past 5 years The PUNTACANA RESORT and CLUB has hosted ESPN's Billfishing Xtreme Tournament.

on-site Golf Course
Golfers of all skill levels will be in heaven playing the P.B. Dye superbly designed oceanfront golf course with its panoramic views of the breathtaking Caribbean Sea. PUNTACANA RESORT and CLUB's newest addition (opened in 2000) is the spectacular championship par 72, 18-hole La Cana golf course designed by the world-renowned Pete Dye. Fourteen holes feature breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea and four holes play directly along the ocean itself. Shared golf carts are complimentary. A practice range, golf instruction and a world-class clubhouse overlooking the 18th green with a fully stocked golf shop, locker rooms, restaurants and bars are also available.

A second course opening in early 2009, Tom Fazio's new 18-hole Corales Golf Course features a Club House, Beach Club and six ocean front holes.
