Activities and Recreations at Esperanza - an Auberge Resort, Cabo San Lucas

The Esperanza Resort features a captivating location that inspires exceptional cuisine and spa experiences. A variety of activities are offered at the resort and nearby for your enjoyment.

Resort Programs
Mexican Wine Journey: Learn about the many grape varieties grown in Mexico and the rich history of how the Mexican winemakers perform their craft, while also enjoying cuisine specially prepared to accentuate the flavors of the wines being tasted. This unique experience takes place every Friday afternoon from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. during the winter months, and 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. during the summer months.

Tequila Tasting: Learn all about Tequila and experience the flavors of white, semi-aged and aged Tequilas while being initiated into the Blue Agave Society, an exclusive club created by Alejandro Enriquez, the resort’s master tequilero. The tasting is offered every Tuesday and Saturday from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at El Bar.

"Cocina del Sol" Cooking Class: Join Executive Chef Flynt Payne and the rest of the Esperanza culinary team each Friday at 11:30 a.m. in the main kitchen for an interactive and personalized session filled with cooking techniques, tips and secret recipes. Enjoy cooking side-by-side with Chef Payne while learning how to prepare fresh, simple and flavorful dishes using regional ingredients.

Spanish Lessons: Complimentary Spanish lessons are available every Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Residence Club.

San Jose Art Gallery Tours: Esperanza offers guided art tours through San Jose’s art district, which features a variety of art galleries and art craft stores.

Golf
Los Cabos has four championship-level courses nearby that are accessible for guests to enjoy. Tee times will be arranged through the resort’s concierge staff. Greens fees range from $175 to $250 for 18 holes at the following courses:

• Cabo Del Sol - An 18-hole Jack Nicklaus-designed ocean course, open for outside play, and a Tom Weiskopf-designed 18-hole desert course.
• Palmilla - A 27-hole Jack Nicklaus designed course, open for outside play.
• Cabo Real - An 18-hole, Robert Trent Jones-designed course, open for outside play.
• Cabo San Lucas Country Club - Roy Dye designed 18-hole course.

Sport Fishing
Los Cabos is one of the world™s great sport fishing destinations, famous for its concentrations of swordfish and sailfish, and is known as 'The Marlin Capital of the World.' Esperanza's concierge can arrange group excursions on private charters.
