Hotel Enhancements
The golf course at Catalonia Royal Bavaro will be temporarily closed for annual maintenance from Aug 1-Sep 30, 2026. The hotel has made arrangements with other golf courses in the area with transportation included so guest’s golf plans are not interrupted. Guests can send an email to [email protected], and their golf department will take care of booking and organizing their tee times directly.

Golf
One Green Fee per guests per day is INCLUDED. Green fees are non-transferrable. The use of a golf cart is mandatory (golf cart fees vary seasonally). Golf clubs are available for rental. Free hour long group golf instruction is available between the hours of 11am and 1pm; individual golf lessons are available for a fee at Catalonia Golf Academy.

The resort's Catalonia Cabeza de Toro course offers 9 holes, a putting green, a driving range and a pitch & putt. Equipment rental (clubs and carts) available; club house with pro shop and bar, golf lessons available daily (1 hour is complimentary).

TAG Approved Hotel
The Catalonia Royal Bavaro is an IGLTA (International Gay and Lesbian Travel Association) (or TAG) approved hotel. The hotel is certified as gay-friendly and has completed employee sensitivity training and has agreed to a list of non-discriminatory and welcoming policies.
