How to Take a Screenshot

Screenshot Overview

Best Practices for Efficient Price Matching

In order to process your price match request in the quickest, most efficient way possible, all submitted screenshots need to include:

  • URL [Website] of Competitor
  • Competitor's Name
  • Hotel Name
  • Room Category
  • Travel Dates
  • Number of Passengers [Including children's ages]
  • Flight Information [Including class of service]
  • Total Package Price
  • All Inclusions [Including meal plans or other additional amenities]
  • Current Date & Time
  • Taxes & Fees
  • Terms & Restrictions [If possible]

Please Note: Screenshots from mobile devices, such as smart phones or tablets, are NOT accepted

Windows OS

Option 1:

  • Verify all the information above is clearly visible within the browser window on your computer screen
  • Press the PRINT SCREEN button on the keyboard [This button may also read PrtScn]
  • Open Microsoft Word or Microsoft Paint and create a new blank document
  • To paste/attach your screenshot, either:
    • Click the Edit menu and select Paste
    • Press CTRL+V
    • Right click on the blank document and select Paste
  • Your screenshot should appear within the blank document you created
  • Save the document to your desktop, either as a .doc, .docx, .pdf, .jpg, .bmp, or .png file
  • Email your Vacation Express booking number and saved screenshot document as an attachment to [email protected]

Option 2:

  • Verify all the information above is clearly visible within the browser window on your computer screen
  • Print directly from your browser window by either clicking the File menu and selecting Print, or by pressing Ctrl+P
  • The Print dialog box should appear
  • Either in the Select Printer dropdown menu or at the bottom of the Print Dialog Box, select the PDF or Print to PDF option
  • Save the document to your desktop as a .pdf
  • Email your Vacation Express booking number and saved screenshot .pdf as an attachment to [email protected]

Please Note: When printing from your browser, please verify that the Page Header or Page Footer options in the Print Dialog box are set up to include the date and time

Mac OS

Option 1:

  • Verify all the information above is clearly visible within the browser window on your computer screen
  • Press Command+Shift+3 to take a screenshot [The Command [CMD] key has the icon ]
  • The screenshot is automatically saved to your desktop as a .png file
  • Email your Vacation Express booking number and saved screenshot document as an attachment to [email protected]

Option 2:

  • Verify all the information above is clearly visible within the browser window on your computer screen
  • Print directly from your browser window by either clicking the File menu and selecting Print, or by pressing Command+P [The Command [CMD] key has the icon ]
  • The Print dialog box should appear
  • Either in the Select Printer dropdown menu, or at the bottom of the Print Dialog Box, select the PDF or Print to PDF option
  • Save the document to your desktop as a .pdf
  • Email your Vacation Express booking number and saved screenshot .pdf as an attachment to [email protected]

The screenshot below is a great example of what needs to be submitted. Note that it has all of the required information needed to process your request.

Please note: Some competitor's websites are built in such a way that multiple screenshots may need to be submitted to include all required information.
