Tequila Tasting There is much more to savoring tequila than drinking shots with salt and lime, so why not discover what there is to know about the different tequilas. Learn how to distinguish tequila from its aroma, color and flavor, and find out what the difference is between white (silver), reposado (rested) and añejo (aged) tequila. Every Monday at 5:30 p.m., reserve with concierge. Dress Code: Casual. Cooking Lessons How to make traditional Mayan Ceviche from the Yucatan region in these fun cooking classes. Ceviche is made from raw fish “cooked” in lemon, and each region will have its own special flavor. Villa del Palmar Cancun's ceviche chef will teach you how to prepare this Mexican favorite with the ocean as your backdrop and the sound of the waves to accompany you. Takes place once a week. No reservations needed. Dress Code: Comfortable clothing (beachwear allowed). Mixology Classes Easily one of the most fun activities on the resort for adults who like a cocktail or two. In the mixology class you will be shown how to prepare a couple of different cocktails by Villa del Palmar Cancun’s most talented cocktail bartender, supported by one of the activities team (whose job it is to make sure you all finish your cocktails before leaving the class). Not only will you see how the cocktails are prepared (sometimes, shaken, sometimes stirred!) but you will also get to taste them, offering your comments and a score out of 10. Takes place twice a week. No reservations needed. Dress Code: Comfortable clothing (beachwear allowed).
