Services and Facilities at Franklyn D Resort & Spa, Runaway Bay

VACATION NANNY: Each family is assigned their own, exclusive Vacation Nanny, upon arrival. Your Nanny is with you daily, from 9:00 am to 4:40 pm. She is professionally trained in child care, CPR and housekeeping. There is a nominal charge per hour if you require her services after 4:40pm, payable directly to her. There is also an additional fee, per day, for a second nanny. She is the family’s Vacation Assistant and will care for your children all day, from giving them a bath to feeding them and taking them to their activities, there to help with all your child care needs.

SPA FACILITIES:
The Seagrape Spa is open daily, providing the best of ancient Asian and European treatments and techniques, using natural Jamaican spices, fruits and minerals. The Sea Grape Spa is surrounded by the sea, and the soothing music of Caribbean surf, making for a relaxing, memorable experience. Hair braiding and manicures and pedicures are also available.

GYM:
This open air, modern, fully-equipped cardiovascular and fitness gym is open every day.
Equipment are for guests 16 years and older
Includes: Stationery Bicycles, Treadmills, Step Machines, Weights and Fitness equipment.
An attendant is on duty to assist you. Aerobic and Aquacize classes are also offered.

YELLOW BIRD KIDS CLUB:
Open from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm, daily
The staff provide hours of supervised fun for children from 2 to 11 years old
Bursting with the latest educational computer games, toys, arts and crafts activities (in the Outdoor Craft Center), Nintendo games and a TV room designed to keep children entertained. Also including cooking lessons, snorkeling lessons, tie dye lessons, shell collecting, a kiddies’ theme dinner and disco, pajama and toga parties.

PRETEENS & TEENS PROGRAMS:
Supervised daily activities for pre-teens and teenagers.

Includes aerobics lessons, video games, rap sessions, bicycle tours, beach volleyball, art and craft lessons, tennis, fashion shows, treasure hunts, Microsoft Xbox 360’s and Nintendo Wii activities. Special excursions for teens may also be arranged at a small cost.

COMPUTER ACCESS:
WiFi is free property wide.
Computer room or access the Internet via the WiFi or LAN connection in your suite, when you bring your own laptop, is also available.

SHOPPING:
There is a complimentary shuttle service to Ocho Rios that departs from the resort twice weekly for duty and tax free shopping. The shuttle is not available on Sundays and Jamaican Public Holidays.

ART & CRAFT SHOP:
Open 9:00a.m. – 5:00p.m. daily – For local crafts, leather and straw goods.

GIFT SHOP AND BOUTIQUE:
Open 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. daily. “The Gift Shop” offers tropical fashions, tee shirts, coffee, hand-painted batik-wear/sarongs, swimwear, souvenirs and sundry items.

LAUNDRY FACILITIES:
Dryers are available adjacent to the Craft Shop on the Eastern end of the Resort. Dry cleaning facilities are also available. US$10 per load, which includes washing and drying.

AIRPORT TRANSFERS:
Complimentary Airport transfers from and to the Donald Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay are available.
