Activities and Recreations at S Hotel Jamaica, Montego Bay

Guests are able to explore the city and nearby attractions throughout their luxurious stay at the S Hotel Jamaica. Walk the hip strip to visit the restaurants and bars, book a tee time at a nearby golf course or experience nearby adventure tours and excursions including visits to Negril, Ocho Rios and the south coast.

• The S Hotel Cultural Tour - a guided tour that gives guests the opportunity to learn about the culture and heritage of Jamaica and why this small island nation has such large cultural footprint on the rest of the world, by exploring the local art, cultural artefacts and sculptures throughout the property.
• Mixology class where talented bartenders teach guests the skill of pairing flavours and combining ingredients to create various cocktails.
• Sunrise yoga class on the beach,
• Water aerobics in the main pool.
• Champagne at sunset –gather each evening for a toast to magnificent sunsets at the Sky Deck.
• Cooking demonstration – watch while the chef prepares one of his signature dishes and get an opportunity to sample the dish at the end of his demonstration.

Lounge By The Pool
Walk through the grand lobby to enter the main pool area framed by vibrant red umbrellas and swim-out sunbeds that are surrounded by plenty of loungers. White sand lines the perimeter of the pool while a sleek wood deck completes the resort-style atmosphere. The rooftop pool is the second pool available and it is located on floors 5 and 6. Boasting enviable views over Doctors Cave Beach with a glass enclosed pool surrounded by cabanas and loungers; this is an ideal spot to admire the beautiful sunset.

The Beach
S Hotel guests have access to the powdery white sands and clear blue waters of Doctor’s Cave Beach, including a reserved section with lounge chairs and umbrellas. The S Hotel Jamaica concierge will serve beverages to guests on the beach; however, meals may be had at the hotel’s restaurants.

The S Hotel Jamaica is located next to Doctor’s Cave Beach which is considered one of Jamaica’s most famous beaches and used to be accessible only through a cave on the property. Doctor's Cave Beach was named after Dr. Alexander James McCatty, who owned the beach in the 1800s and donated the property to the public in 1906. Not long after that, its popularity was boosted thanks to a visiting British doctor, Sir Herbert Baker, who wrote an article about the water’s alleged curative properties.

Learn About Jamaican Culture
Guests can learn about the history and culture of Jamaica from the artefacts placed throughout S Hotel Jamaica. Each floor features a sculpture of one of Jamaica’s national heroes or a cultural icon such as Bob Marley. Numerous paintings by Jamaican artists can also be viewed throughout the hotel.
