Stunningly beautiful, The Springs Resort & Spa features natural hot and cold springs, pools and waterfalls, an old-fashioned swimming hole and the Arenal River. Eighteen freeform, landscaped pools provide guests with great views of the volcano and a multitude of options. The Springs Resort has much to offer discriminating guests looking for an upscale eco-resort in an astoundingly beautiful location. Unique Springs and Pools Everywhere! Lodging includes unlimited access to all hot springs and pools. The Springs Resort & Spa offers an array of on-site facilities however the variety of Hot Springs is unique to the Springs Resort & Spa. Guests will find 3 separate hot spring areas: Las Lagunas pools; Los Perdidos Springs (The Lost Springs); and the Hot and Cold Springs along the Arenal River. With temperatures ranging from 76°F to 103°F and environments that vary from raging waterfalls to tranquil forest experiences hotel guests can find the perfect pool for their mood and the current weather conditions. Tests of the hot mineral springs reveal an ideal natural combination of high bicarbonate and high chlorides with relatively low sulfur content to provide a safe and clean soaking experience. All of these pools are in close proximity to each other so it is easy to hop from one to the other. The hotel offers a misting system and cold water showers around the edge of the hot water pools allowing you a refreshing blast of cool water while soaking in the hot water. The Springs Wildlife Preserve In conjunction with the MINAE (Ministry of the Environment and Energy) The Springs operates a preserve for Costa Rican wildlife that has either been confiscated from poachers or donated by other private preserves or individuals. They currently care for seven ocelots, twenty three margays, and two jaguarundis, along with Capuchin monkeys, Squirrel monkeys, sloths, scarlet macaws, wild turkeys and an assortment of other animals. (Please Note: Starting February 1st, 2016 The Springs will charge a small fee of $7.50 per person to visit the Wildlife Sanctuary). Free WiFi WiFi is available to all guests throughout the hotel, including the rooms, free of charge.
