Activities and Recreations at The Springs Resort & Spa, Arenal

The miles of river frontage on the property lend itself to a variety of activities including swimming, inner-tubing, kayaking, fishing and hiking. Your stay includes unlimited access to all resort hot springs and pools. AND of course, nearby tours and excursions are a must-do.

The first phase of the hotel's Club Rio Outdoor Center located 1.5 kilometers directly below the resort along a beautiful stretch of Arenal River frontage has just been opened. This is a “Must See” amenity of The Springs Resort and Spa where some of the most unique adventure activities in Costa Rica are offered, including Inflatable River Kayaking, River Tubing, Horseback Tours, Climbing Wall, Hiking Trails, Nature Tours, Hot Springs, Mountain Biking, Fishing, Swimming and a Wildlife Preserve for rescued animals. The new restaurant and bar, Rancho Club Rio, is now open for beverages and snacks and is a great place to relax in a beautiful atmosphere and watch the activity on the river and absorb the nature surrounding you.

The Games side of the hotel's Conference Level features old fashioned parlor games such as billiards, darts, chess, checkers, cards and backgammon as well as a few high tech video games. Also, a rocking chair on the Sunset Terrace is a great place to not only watch the sun set behind the volcano but also to enjoy the distant city lights glimmering at night.

Casino Coming Soon
Due to recent changes in the Costa Rican Government’s rules and regulations regarding the permitting of casinos in the country, The Springs is uncertain when they will be able to open the casino. In the meantime, the Casino area is being used as a conference center/event room.
Once opened, plans call for the following:
